Well, I hope the article didn&#039;t come off as &quot;beat &#039;em over the head&quot; as you imply. I think of it more as &quot;smacking &#039;em upside the head&quot; - a subtle, but important difference. But yes, the available resources to help marketers take their programs to the next level is simply mind numbing. The fact is email is a victim of its own success - even poorly done email programs often generate a good ROI - so there is no motivation from above or within to work a bit harder to take it to the next level. 

Happy 4th - If you don&#039;t like the fireworks, go out and make some of your own!
